Ease the anxiety of a fraught electoral season by striving to live in the moment and accepting others
Americans tend to view the presidential elections as Democrats versus Republicans—or my team versus their team. With nearly everyone choosing sides, social and family connections are subject to stress when the inevitable question comes up: “Who are you voting for?” The tension intensifies with fear of changes enacted when a new party comes to power or when a familiar party feels reaffirmed.
So, can yoga offer an effective antidote for those woes? Absolutely.
Classes in mediation or yoga can bring some relief, but politically induced stress may require the salve of yogic philosophy’s deeper wisdom.
